I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it, but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.

From a Personal Perspective

One of the questions I ask new clients is: “If you had all the money you’d ever want or need, what would you be doing right now?” My answer may surprise you: I would still be a financial advisor.

Being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner enables me to put my proficiency in economics, passion for research and interest in geopolitical developments to work helping others. I derive a great deal of satisfaction from taking clients who are drifting financially and getting them moving in the right direction.

Professionally Speaking

I began my career as a life insurance agent, investment counselor and business benefit consultant for Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1986.

After several years, I realized I wanted to do more than just help clients protect their assets. I wanted to counsel them on how to grow them as well.

My choice to become a Fee-Only financial advisor rose from my belief that it was the smartest and most objective way to avoid conflicts of interest when providing financial advice and choosing investments for my clients. I opened my Fee-Only financial planning firm in 1991. In 1992, I became a partner and president of Miller, Wiggin & Associates for the next sixteen years.

Today, my associates and I offer financial counseling for individuals, couples, families and small businesses. We develop comprehensive financial plans, as well as investment portfolios that we manage on an ongoing basis.
